"It is not the strongest of the species that survives
nor the most intelligent, but the one most
responsive to change."
— Charles Darwin
Successful organizations are those whose vision, values, and practices are integrated and aligned. I bring a systemic approach to my work, believing that all organizations, regardless of size, are not problems to be resolved, rather opportunities to be captured.
I apply an action-research approach, which means taking action based on real information readily available both in your organization and through your stakeholders, to develop leaders, solve problems, and improve outcomes. Through the process of Appreciative Inquiry, I help my clients build on their strengths by
discovering the positive core, creating a shared image of the ideal future and devising a plan where a shared purpose generates energy for success.
My Practice, Beliefs, and Committments
Organizational Development is a planned approach to change. My work is to help you make your work more productive by identifying holistic, sustainable ways of interacting in service of clearly articulated goals and outcomes. I partner with you to diagnose and understand your group, team, organization, or system. I use a variety of methods, lenses, and processes to reach your desired results.
· I use current theory in organizational development.
· I am committed to honest and open dialogue.
· I model the behaviors and values I teach.
· I am committed to ethical practice.
· I notice the impact of the many and various diversities in the client system, and support clients in valuing and working with their unique makeup.
· I attend thoughtfully to group and power dynamics and intervene intentionally in service of client goals.
Design and Intervention
I collaborate with my clients to identify your needs and determine which of your needs will benefit most from external consultation. After our initial meeting, I will propose a course of action designed specifically to address your concerns. I believe that consultation is most likely to succeed when the client and the consultant work closely together. You will be involved in the ongoing evaluation of the consultative process. Together we will determine next steps, alternatives, and future directions.
